About the Role: Reporting to the Warehouse Team Leader, the Warehouse Operator is responsible for managing material handling, inventory, and processing tasks to support efficient warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing goods.
Role responsibilities include:
- Assisting with moving finished goods pallets from the production line, ensuring smooth operation and meeting production goals
- Loading and unloading material goods from trucks, trailers, and other storage areas
- Transporting materials within the production facility.
- Verify all inbound and outbound goods against documentation such as manifests and pick-slips
- Manage and store inventory, ensuring accurate digital records
- Maintain stock integrity through proper handling, stock cycling (FIFO/FEFO), and quality standards
- Ensure stock levels meet requirements
- Maintain equipment quality, coordinate servicing and repairs, and ensure shutdown at day end.
- Performing routine checks on the forklift
- Uphold cleanliness and 5S standards in the warehouse and waste collection areas
- Additional tasks as required by the Warehouse & Distribution team
About you: The successful candidate will have experience in a busy warehouse environment with an understanding of basic warehousing principles and practices. The successful candidate will also have:
- A forklift licence with experience in a warehouse environment
- Ability to work as part of a team, take initiative, exercise patience, and work without direct supervision
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good physical health and fitness
- Strong attention to detail
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including night shift
- Good level of mechanical aptitude
- Valid driver’s license
