Job Description
As a key member in the Logistics team, the Warehouse Operator ensures smooth operation of the warehouse by receiving, handling, storing, picking and packing stock within the warehouse. The Warehouse Operator needs to be highly compliant in the storage and handling of stock to maintain the required TGA and State Health Department compliance/licensing.
The Warehouse Operator plays a key role in ensuring the compliance of handling highly governed consumables. This role requires a high standard of attention to detail and ensuring quality standards are met.
- Receiving stock, selecting and preparing goods for dispatch, loading and unloading trucks.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures
- Conducting general warehousing duties, which may include machine operation, cleaning and administration.
- Working within and complying with occupational health and safety guidelines to ensure your own safety and that of others.
- Deliver the overall Montu and Alternaleaf warehouse strategy.
- Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goals.
- Ad hoc duties as required
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a warehouse or distribution centre
- Possess high levels of communication and teamwork
- Adhere to work health and safety guidelines
- Accurate reading and numeracy skills
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Meet the demands for a Highly manual, small batch nature of the picking for bulk goods movement.
- Ability to engage in manual labour including ongoing bending, twisting, lifting and pushing up to 20kg without assistance
- Medical cannabis or Schedule 8 drug warehouse knowledge and experience is desirable
