Aqua Australia is part of a global leader in sustainable waste and water management. We are expanding our industrial water treatment team and are looking for a skilled and motivated Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator to join us in Perth for a great local opportunity.
About the Role
In this full-time role you’ll work directly at our client’s sites in the Perth’s suburbs of Kwinana and Forrest Field. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining the wastewater treatment infrastructure. This is a stable, technical role with minimal physical work, consistent treatment processes, and the support of modern, well-maintained equipment. You’ll take ownership of the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the treatment plant, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and environmental responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and adjust the wastewater treatment process, including chemical dosing
- Conduct field testing and prepare samples for NATA-accredited lab analysis
- Complete daily operation and maintenance checklists
- Prepare accurate reports on treatment activities and plant performance
- Identify and troubleshoot process issues to ensure continuous compliance
- Work closely with the client and our multidisciplinary team to ensure operational success

What You’ll Bring:
- Previous experience in water or wastewater treatment operations
- Certificate II or III in Water Operations (or similar industry experience)
- Driver license – we provide a fully maintained company car
- Ability to work independently while staying aligned with team and client needs
- Strong communication and reporting skills
- A willingness to learn and grow with the business
- Experience across various treatment methodologies is highly regarded
