The Workers Compensation Officer liaises with and responds to queries by claimants, NBMLHD supervisors and managers, TMF workers Compensation Claims Manager, Solicitors, Investigators and Treatment providers. This position is also responsible for assisting with the maintenance of information systems and the preparation of regular statistics and reports required for Workers Compensation claims performance management.

What you will bring to the role:
- Knowledge or experience in the application of current NSW workers compensation legislative requirements for claims management and the calculation of claims payments.
- Experience in the management of complex payroll operations, including the calculation of pays, particularly in relation to Health Roster and Staff link. Along with the ability to interpret industrial awards, particularly leave conditions.
- Ability to use spreadsheet and database applications to manage data and prepare reports
- Accuracy with mathematical calculations and recording data for Workers Compensation payments and reimbursements.
- Ability to research and prepare correspondence relating to claim management and claim payments for litigated Workers Compensation claims.
- Ability to work as a member of a multi-functional team and to organise and carry out work with minimal supervision and to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
