About the job:
The Zone Brand Lead- Cenovis is an exciting and dynamic leadership role within the Health and Wellness category (Vitamins, Minerals & Supplements), spearheading short and long-term growth of one of Australia’s biggest vitamin brands to drive the business into the future and beyond. By providing innovative leadership and strategic direction, this motivated person will outgrow the category via exceptional team leadership and challenger mindset, growing brands via truly delighting consumers, and identifying opportunities to innovate both in communication and product development.
This role has true ownership of brand results and is seen as a leader across the organisation, with opportunities for regular senior management exposure. Beyond delivery of results this person will be able to shape processes, operating model and culture as Opella builds for the future.
Main responsibilities:
- Leadership and Strategic Direction: Lead one of Australia’s biggest Vitamin brands that results in Market Share growth, Top and Bottom Line growth while landing key commercials and product innovation
- Full P&L responsibility for the brand + Market Share Growth.
- Brand leadership including 3 x direct reports and partnering with multifunctional teams to deliver business goals
- Joint leadership on the Brand & Innovation Leadership Team driving scale, capability and culture
- Represent Brand at all levels of the business both internally and externally including to senior management
- Showcase true ownership and elevated strategic thinking to identify opportunities for brand growth
- Navigate and influence processes within Opella to deliver optimal outcomes
- Deep Category, Competitor and Consumer understanding to turn insight into meaningful action for growth
- Develop, plan and execute growth plans to deliver present commitments while securing a clear roadmap of innovation (claims, new products, existing product upgrades) for future acceleration
- Development of a Category Growth story and Long-term planning for the portfolio, mapping out areas of investment to achieve growth
- Lead partners internal and external to co-create successes for the brands/categories and maximize value for Opella
- Deliver outstanding communication materials into market that resonate with consumers and drive awareness and purchase
- Produce outstanding media and engagement plans with Media & Digital teams that drive communication and grow ROI Year-on-year
- Work closely with Sales Leads to deliver outstanding go-to-market plans, instore communication to help consumers shop the category and purchase our brand
- In Conjunction with RGM Leads, deliver Portfolio and Pricing Strategies to deliver growth
- Partner with Innovation leads to deliver meaningful consistent innovation working with both internal and external manufacturing
- Drive a High Performing Culture, Lead, Coach and Motivate 3 x direct reports to pursue outperformance vs the market
- In conjunction with Innovation leads, deliver meaningful consistent innovation working with both internal and external manufacturing
About you:
Qualifications:
- Degree in Marketing, Business or similar field required
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Ideally Min 10 years Marketing/Brand Building experience within the Consumer Healthcare, Wellness or FMCG industry
- Min 5 years leading teams / supervisory experience, Proven ability to inspire teams and confidence of Brand Plans both internally and externally
- Demonstrated and successful track record in Brand Building, Marketing Strategy and Execution
- Ability to clearly and concisely express ideas in spoken and written communications to large and senior audiences
- Sound understanding of multifunctional organisation – Sales, Finance, Supply, Development etc
- Previous P&L Management and ownership
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Health and Wellness Category knowledge (min FMCG experience), bonus for TGA + Regulatory environment
