The Opportunity:
The Trans Health Research team at the MCRI is currently undertaking a study to co-design a structured group cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) program for transgender, gender diverse, and non-binary adolescents attending The RCH Gender Service (RCHGS) and conduct a trial of the program to assess its acceptability and feasibility. The Research Assistant will be supporting the project teams to deliver on project priorities and carry out administrative and executive support functions.

The role will see you with primary responsibility of:
Conducting literature reviews relating to trans mental health, clinical interventions, and minority stress
Recruitment including undertaking consent procedures, and ensuring completion of pre-intervention, post-intervention, and follow-up questionnaires
Supporting the running of the group CBT program, coordinating session scheduling and engagement of facilitators
Assisting and coordinating reports, publication, tenders, and grants, etc.

About You:
Tertiary qualification (preferably Honours/Masters qualification in a health, social, or behavioural sciences field or related discipline)
Appropriate level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training, or professional accreditation
Experience and confidence in working with members of the general public, including young people and families from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds
