Nova Business Services is currently seeking a motivated Business Administration Trainee, for our Carrum Downs Office.

As an Administration Trainee, you will be working towards obtaining a Certificate III in Business Administration. This qualification will help you to establish a career in business administration. Job roles and titles vary across different industry sectors. Possible job titles relevant to this qualification include Receptionist, Accounts Clerk, Data Entry Operator, Junior Personal Assistant and Office Administration Assistant.


Nova Business Services are a very successful and respected Bookkeeping business based in Carrum Downs.


We specialise in providing Bookkeeping services for small to medium business. We assist clients with services such as; Data Entry, Payroll, Processing bill payments, bank reconciliations, GST calculations and ATO reporting requirements.


This is a great opportunity for a school leavers (years 12 preferred) seeking a Traineeship in Business Administration. Nova Business Services will assign study time each week in our office. The course is done remotely from our office and is supervised by a Registered Training Organisation, who will also attend the office regularly to guide and mentor you. At the end of the trainee ship you will have attained a:

  • Cert III Business Administration

Duties and Responsibilities

We are seeking a person willing to undertake a Business Administration Traineeship to assist the senior Bookkeepers in carrying out administrative / bookkeeping tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Answering incoming calls and directing accordingly/taking messages
  • Filing
  • Manage the businesses social media and regular mail outs and newsletters
  • Processing incoming and outgoing mail
  • Photocopying, faxing and distributing documents as required
  • General workplace housekeeping
  • Running errands such as collecting the post
  • Welcoming visitors into the office
  • Basic data entry for our clients
  • Contacting organisations via telephone and email
  • Communicating with clients and business connections as necessary
  • Other necessary administrative duties

In addition, you will be required to:

  • Complete a Certificate III in Business Administration in conjunction with on-the-job training;
  • Be reliable, enthusiastic and punctual; and
  • Dress in corporate attire.

Essential Attributes

The successful candidate will have:

  • Basic to intermediate computer skills;
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Sound communication skills (written and verbal);
  • The motivation to learn new things and follow verbal and written instructions;
  • The ability to work autonomously and in a team;
  • A current VIC drivers licence; and
  • The ability to perform at a high standard in a fast-paced environment.
