Victoria University (VU) is inviting expressions of interest from qualified and experienced Primary educators for sessional teaching roles across our Initial Teacher Education (ITE) programs at Bachelor and Master levels.
About the Role
Sessional teaching includes preparation for delivery, delivery, and marking assessments, and student support. Teaching may be conducted in person and online in real time , with day and evening classes offered across Melbourne and offshore locations (online mostly).
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Supply Chain Management units to Bachelor or Master students
- Teach in a range of formats, including face-to-face, blended, block, and online real-time modes
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and assessment
- Collaborate with fellow sessional and ongoing academic staff
- Adhere to Victoria University’s policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Essential Attributes
- Preferably a PhD in Supply Chain Management or a minimum of Masters in Supply Chain Management for teaching in undergraduate programmes
- Recent teaching or industry experience in Supply Chain Management
- Proficiency in using educational technology
Teaching Model
VU teaches using the Block Model , in which units are delivered one at a time over a four-week period. Sessional staff may teach up to two classes per block , totalling up to 18 teaching hours per week . Block Model .
