Location: Christmas Creek – Fortescue’s Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people
Roster: 8D/6R/7N/7R – FIFO from Perth, Broome, or Port Hedland
We are seeking motivated and safety-focused individuals to join our Autonomous Haulage Systems (AHS) team at Christmas Creek. Reporting to the AHS Field Builder Supervisor, this role is responsible for the effective utilisation of our Autonomous Haulage Fleet using Command Minestar. Whether you're experienced in field building or interested in learning, we encourage you to apply and grow with our dynamic team
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain mine model efficiency and compliance with safety protocols
- Support Mine Operations in optimising fleet performance and productivity
- Monitor the Autonomous Mining Trucks (AMTs) and assist with recovery and troubleshooting as required
- Assist with Non-Line-of-Sight (NLOS) dozer operations when required
- Operate within a highly collaborative team environment
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience as an AHS Field Builder using a fleet management system (Minestar preferred)
- Current WA C-Class Driver’s Licence (mandatory)
- Experience operating CAT 793 and Komatsu 930 haul trucks, or operating and supporting push dozers (desirable)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Adaptable to changing and dynamic work environments
- A strong team player who supports and assists peers
