Join our team as an Animal Management Officer!
Are you passionate about animals and keeping our community safe? Join our Animal Management Team, where you'll play a hands-on role in investigations, enforcement, and admin support to help ensure compliance with Council’s Local Laws and legislation - all while delivering top-notch customer service to the residents of Redlands.
Applicants must be available to work between 6am–6pm, 5 days a week (with some weekend work) on a rotating roster. If this sounds like you, we’d love for you to apply.

Your responsibilities will include:
Investigating and managing breaches of animal-related laws, including conducting patrols, inspections, and enforcement actions.
Responding to complaints and enquiries, providing advice to the community, and ensuring compliance with legislation.
Capturing and impounding stray animals, and supporting the safe operation of the Animal Shelter.
Preparing reports, notices, and other documents to support enforcement and decision-making.
Skills and experience:
We’re looking for a confident and community-focused team member with strong customer service skills, particularly when handling sensitive or emotive situations. You’ll have a solid understanding of Local Laws and relevant legislation, along with experience in conducting investigations and gathering evidence. A background in animal husbandry, whether domestic or large animals, would be highly regarded. Strong time management, communication, and computer skills are essential, as is the ability to work well both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
