Application for Promotion to Level C & Level D (OPEN TO ECU ACADEMIC STAFF ONLY)

Before you commence work on this submission, please ensure you have:
- Read the Academic Staff Promotion Policy and the Guidelines for Promotion;
- Met with your Line Executive to discuss your application;
- Attended the information session for applicants for promotion; and
- Noted the application closing date / time.
This application form is used in conjunction with the Academic Staff Promotions Policy, Guidelines, and the Academic Staff Performance Expectations and Outcomes (ASPEO) Framework. Applicants are required to ensure they meet the eligibility requirements to apply for promotion – refer 5.1.3 of the Academic Staff Promotions Policy. Applicants are required to complete all sections of this form with reference to the period since employment at ECU or most recent promotion, whichever is the latter.
The online form allows attachments, enabling applicants to provide evidence to support the narrative of their application. Attachment documents should not be used as additional narrative space. Use of attachments is optional, excluding the UTEI report (all levels), Curriculum Vitae (all levels) and Referee reports (Levels C and D). The maximum file size is 5mb per attachment.
Questions in both the Teaching and Learning and Research & Research Training sections WILL ONLY APPEAR to applicants who have answered appropriate questions regarding their current/previous academic roles (i.e. Research Scholars who have not had a teaching allocation will not see T & L questions, Teaching Focused Scholars will not see the research section).
Note on External Metrics:
Applicants are encouraged to provide external research metrics as part of their application (e.g. citation and indices data obtained from sources such as Scopus, Google Scholar and Research Gate). The relevant promotions committee may request updated external research metrics closer to the time of the meeting.
Applications for promotion to Level C and Level D are considered in an annual round. All applications for promotion must be submitted through this online form.
