The Role
The Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Business Application Support Analyst to join our team and provide Level 1 and 2 support for Graile, Berkley’s core enterprise administration platform used across our Asia Pacific operations.
This is not a traditional IT support role. Instead, you will be working closely with business users to support a mission-critical business application, helping ensure smooth day-to-day operations, resolving functional issues, and contributing to system enhancements and testing.
We’re looking for someone who thrives at the intersection of business and technology—someone who understands how enterprise applications support critical business operations and enjoys helping users solve functional issues. You’ll be curious, analytical, and comfortable working with business stakeholders to improve processes and system performance.
Please note: this is not a general IT support role. Candidates with experience limited to tools like Microsoft Teams, M365, or purely technical infrastructure support will not be considered. We're specifically seeking individuals with hands-on experience supporting business-critical applications in a functional or operational context.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide functional support to business users of the Graile application
- Triage and resolve application-related issues, escalating where necessary
- Maintain and update operational documentation and knowledge base articles
- Assist with system testing, release deployments, and user acceptance testing.
- Manage application user access and reporting
- Support regulatory reporting requirements
The Candidate - Skills, Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate
Essential:
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology / Business Systems or related field
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in a business application support of functional support role
- Strong understanding of business processes and how they relate to enterprise systems
- Experience with issue triaging, root cause analysis, and user support
- Familiarity with ITSM tools such as Jira, Confluence, or ServiceNow
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Desired:
- Experience in the insurance or financial services industry (highly regarded)
