About the Role
Based in Mackay, this apprenticeship will give you hands-on experience in a workshop environment, where you’ll be involved in a variety of light, medium, and heavy fabrication work on conveyor system equipment. Your tasks will include:
  • Manufacturing conveyor components including guards, mesh panels, brackets, pulleys, and drives.
  • Completing modification work and ensuring product quality standards are met.
  • Interpreting technical drawings to fabricate components to customer specifications.
  • Fully welding components to pre-paint stage while maintaining high-quality assurance standards.
  • Reporting hazards and near misses, actively contributing to our "100% Safe Behaviours and Conditions, Today" safety culture.
  • Communicating issues with the Workshop Supervisor to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensuring proper use and maintenance of equipment to uphold safety and quality.
About You
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
  • A valid driver’s licence.
  • Mechanical aptitude and an eagerness to develop technical skills.
  • Strong communication and numerical skills.
  • A self-starter mindset, with a commitment to safety and quality.
  • Dedication to completing the apprenticeship and launching your career.
  • Previous workshop experience is an advantage but not essential.
