About Newcastle Master Builders Apprentices:
Newcastle MBA offers a pathway for individuals interested in obtaining full-time employment in a high demand trade while gaining a nationally recognised qualification.
Newcastle MBA will be your Employer for the duration of your Apprenticeship to handle everything administration wise and provide support and guidance while you’re gaining on the job skills with a valued Host Employer.
- Receive accurate and timely payments – MBA processes your pay, superannuation, etc.
- Job Security – If your Host Employer runs low in work, MBA will attempt to find another Host Employer in order for you to continue and complete your Apprenticeship.
- Learn from and be mentored by industry experts.
- Don’t pay, get paid – TAFE Fees are covered and TAFE textbook costs are reimbursed to you.
- Receive personal protective equipment (PPE) throughout your Apprenticeship (Steel-Cap Boots, Hard Hat, Gloves, Hat, Vest, etc).
- Toolbox and basic toolkit provided on your induction day.
- Receive dedicated support from our Field Officers throughout your Apprenticeship.
About the Host Employer/Role:
Our Host Employer is a successful Carpentry team that are based in Greta and service the Maitland, Hunter Valley and Newcastle areas providing Custom Homes, Renovations/Extensions and Multi-Residential projects. They're now looking for a hardworking Apprentice with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic to join their busy team!
You will gain an understanding and develop a large range of skills relating to residential Carpentry due to the variety of work the Host Employer has on offer. Start your career today with a builder that is committed to innovation and delivering a high quality of workmanship.
Desired Qualities:
- A strong desire to learn and grow in the field of Carpentry.
- Commitment to completing a 4-year Apprenticeship (TAFE studies and onsite skills).
- Find fulfillment in practical and hands-on tasks, considering themselves “hands-on” individuals.
- Honest, hardworking, reliable and able to follow instructions.
- Demonstrates strong communication skills with the capability to ask questions when needed.
- Holds a current drivers licence and has reliable transportation to and from job sites.
- White card or willing to obtain prior to starting.
