About the opportunity

We are seeking an Apprentice Landscape Construction to join our team! If you love working outdoors and want to build real skills in landscaping, this is the perfect opportunity for you. In this role, you’ll get hands-on experience while learning the ropes from a supportive team while working toward your Certificate lll in Landscape Construction. You’ll help create and maintain amazing outdoor spaces across our community - from parks and playgrounds to gardens, sporting fields, and more. Every day will bring something different as you help shape and care for the places people love to enjoy.

About you

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Basic knowledge of horticulture, parks and landscaping and ability to complete a Certificate III in Landscape Construction
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills and sound literacy and numeracy skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work in a team environment, participate in group situations, and encourage teamwork and cooperation;
  • Demonstrated willingness to undertake training, learn new skills and trial and develop new work practices;
  • Holder of or willingness to obtain within 3 months of commencement a Work Health and Safety General Construction Induction (White Card); and
  • Highly Desirable: Current Provisional or Class C Drivers Licence.

Remuneration:

Salary as per the Local Government (State) Award plus superannuation
