With a strong reputation for quality and safety, we are looking for a motivated Architectural Draftsperson to join our growing team.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented Draftsperson to prepare technical drawings and roofing plans for maintenance and replacement projects. You will work closely with our supervisors and project managers to develop accurate roof layouts and ensure all designs meet compliance and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed roofing plans, site layouts, and technical drawings for maintenance and replacement projects.
- Develop as-built plans and condition reports based on site inspections.
- Use CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) to produce accurate drawings for roofing, gutters, flashing, and drainage systems.
- Interpret site photos, sketches, and supervisor notes to generate working drawings.
- Ensure all plans comply with Australian Building Codes, safety standards, and client specifications.
- Assist with material take-offs, measurements, and quantity estimations.
- Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and site teams to resolve drawing queries.
- Visit project sites to perform measurements and roof assessments as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Relevant qualification or experience in AutoCAD or similar design software.
- Strong understanding of roofing systems, construction methods, and safety practices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 per year
