We are seeking one casual Art Tutor to join our team, to inspire Maitland Regional Art Gallery (MRAG) audiences through creative programs and exceptional customer service.

The Art collection features Australian Art from the 1850s to the present day, with a diverse collection rich in historic and archival items, sculpture and contemporary art. About the Role
Our Art Tutors collaborate with our gallery visitors, artists and internal stakeholders to support the development and delivery of programs and resources for visitors, students and teachers. You will work alongside the Audience Programs Lead and Education Programs Lead and Education Programs Lead in delivering learning programs and events linked to the exhibition program.
About You
The right candidate for the role will bring industry knowledge and demonstrated experience in the provision of learning programs to a diverse audience and in developing and coordinating creative projects, public programs or events.
To be successful as an art tutor, you should be able to encourage creativity and self-expression, with the ability to develop and deliver art making through a range of mediums including drawing and painting to diverse audiences of all ages and abilities.

Benefits
We have one casual position available working up to 35 hours per week with a base rate of $36.77 per hour based on experience + casual loading + shift allowances + 12% p.a superannuation. The hours worked range from 9.00am – 6.00pm across Monday – Sunday.
