We are currently seeking an Assistant Manager to support our leadership team and help drive service excellence in every guest interaction.
About the Role
As Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the Restaurant Manager to:
- Oversee daily operations
- Ensure the highest standards of service
- Lead, train and develop front-of-house staff
- Support financial performance and cost control
- Uphold the a'Mare philosophy of genuine hospitality and attention to detail
What We’re Looking For
Essential Requirements:
- Full Australian working rights
- Minimum 2 years’ management experience in a fine-dining venue
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
- Current NSW RSA Certificate
- Strong food and wine knowledge
- Exceptional grooming and presentation
- High emotional intelligence and a polished, mature demeanour
- Confident in service reporting, team supervision, and financial oversight
- Comfortable with fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Formal hospitality or wine studies
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience with SevenRooms or similar reservation platforms
- Italian language skills (a bonus, not essential)
- Previous gueridon/tableside service experience
