We’re Hiring: Assistant Manager – Gloria Jean’s Maitland Central
Casual (with view to Full-Time) | Maitland Central | Fast-Paced Café Environment
Are you passionate about coffee, customer service, and leading a team? We’re looking for an energetic and motivated Assistant Manager to join our Gloria Jean’s store at Maitland Central on a casual basis initially, with the opportunity to move into a full-time position.
In this hands-on leadership role, you'll work closely with the Store Manager to supervise, train, and support our café team, ensuring every customer receives exceptional service and the store runs smoothly.
What You’ll Do:
- Support the Store Manager in daily operations and staff management
- Lead and supervise a team of Retail Sales Assistants and Shift Supervisors
- Ensure all team members deliver outstanding customer service
- Train and coach team members using company resources
- Maintain store cleanliness and food safety standards
- Assist with stock ordering and preparing staff rosters
- Handle customer feedback with professionalism
- Drive and support marketing promotions and suggestive selling
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in retail or the food industry (coffee knowledge is a bonus!)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- A positive, hands-on approach to team support
- Computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to high standards
- Food Safety Supervisor certificate (or willingness to obtain)
