The Italian on Mends St is looking for an assistant manager to join the team. You will be working directly with the venue manager to ensure smooth service across the board. This includes duties such as:
- Taking and managing reservations
- Performing weekly stocktake and ordering
- Updating POS systems to reflect current stock, specials and new items/prices
- Responding to customer complaints, feedback and questions in person, on the phone or by email
- Managing rosters and timesheets
- Managing FOH team duties and performance
- Working directly with manager and owner to achieve set goals
- General opening and closing tasks such as reports and float settlement.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Approved Managers & RSA
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Experience in a similar role
- Ability to prioritise tasks and lead the team as required
- Basic bartending, serving and barista skills that will allow you to jump in and help the team as required.
- Profficiency with technology
- Attention to detail
- Problem solving skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year

Experience:
- Restaurant management: 1 year (Preferred)
