About the Role:
We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for an experienced Assistant Used Car Sales Manager at Melbourne BMW. In this pivotal role, you will support and lead our used vehicle sales team, driving sales success while upholding the brand’s reputation for premium quality and service. Your leadership and customer-focused approach will be key in enhancing our dealership’s performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in leading and motivating the Used Car Sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets
- Support inventory management for retail and fleet used vehicle stock
- Implement innovative sales and lead management strategies to boost sales performance
- Foster strong, lasting relationships with customers, ensuring consistent follow-up and exceptional service
- Monitor and evaluate sales activities using sales analytics tools, providing feedback and coaching to team members
- Collaborate with marketing to ensure online and offline advertising accurately and attractively presents our stock
- Uphold high standards of communication—both written and verbal—ensuring the team provides honest, friendly, and professional customer interactions
- Handle customer concerns with care, escalating issues to management when necessary to maintain customer satisfaction
- Work closely with departments such as Service, Parts, Finance, and Administration to ensure seamless operations and customer experience
Selection Criteria:
- Proven experience in used vehicle sales or a similar automotive sales role
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in supporting or managing sales teams
- Track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Highly organised with a process-driven approach
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and proactive
- Keen attention to detail with a commitment to delivering a premium customer experience
- Ability to develop, mentor, and inspire a high-performing sales team aligned with brand standards
