Job Advertisement: Assistant Workshop Manager– July 2025
Location: Devonport, Tasmania
Blues Glass - Shower Screens, based in Devonport, Tasmania, specializes in glazing, and aluminium fabrication, we currently have a rewarding position available for a mature minded individual.
- Position will be full time.
- Able to complete Adult Apprenticeship if desirable to do so.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate doors, windows, and related products.
- Work with precision and attention to detail to ensure high-quality results.
- Collaborate with ALL team members as to achieve consistent outcomes.
- Health & Safety orientated & able to lead by example.
- Quality Assurance - Ensure paperwork is completed and final quality inspection is checked and signed off for delivery.
- Operational support – Assist with coordinating production and workflow. Assist with inventory
control and ordering supplies.
- Staff supervision – Supervise and coordinate staff. Assign tasks and ensure quality and productivity
standards are being met.
- Help foster a positive and efficient team environment.
Requirements:
- Fabricating experience in doors, windows etc., or a strong willingness to learn these skills
- Possession of a valid White Card
- Medical assessment will be required,
- Successful completion of police check
- Current Working with Vulnerable People
Preferable:
- Forklift licence
- Experience in fabrication of doors, window, and related products

Pay: $62,000.00 – $83,000.00 per year

- 8 hour shift
