Job Description
The Customer Service Product & Technical Trainer is responsible for developing and delivering high-quality training programs for field service technicians and customer support teams. This role plays a key part in ensuring consistent, accurate, and up-to-date product knowledge and technical capability across all service channels.
Working closely with the technical support team to stay up to date with new products and service topics, you will create and facilitate engaging training experiences through a mix of classroom sessions, virtual learning, hands-on product workshops, and digital resources. Your audience will include both highly technical service technicians and non-technical call centre staff, requiring adaptability in communication style and content delivery.
This position requires regular interstate travel and occasional international travel, supporting training needs across Australia, New Zealand, and selected offshore service locations.
The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background and a natural curiosity for all things mechanical and electrical. A passion for innovation and knowledge sharing is essential. This role is perfect for someone looking to transition off the tools.
Desired Skills and Experience
Proven experience in training or product support roles, ideally in the appliance or service industry.
Strong technical knowledge of appliances or related technologies.
Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills across varied audiences.
Ability to translate technical concepts into accessible training for non-technical staff.
Comfortable working independently, managing schedules, and leading sessions both in-person and online.
Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), instructional design tools, and digital content creation.
Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122 or earlier) desirable
Trade qualification or hands-on technical background desirable
