About the Role
Java House Cafe in Epping, NSW, is looking for an experienced, full-time barista to join our energetic and dedicated team. As an integral part of our cafe, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and preparing high-quality coffee beverages for our valued guests. This position provides a wonderful opportunity to work in a lively and dynamic hospitality environment.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and serving a variety of coffee-based drinks, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, and more
- Ensuring timely and efficient service for all customer orders
- Keeping the bar area clean and well-organised
- Assisting with the preparation of food and drink items as needed
- Providing friendly and attentive service to customers at all times
- Adhering to all health and safety standards
- Participating in team meetings and helping to improve cafe operations
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as a barista in a cafe or similar hospitality setting
- Proficient in latte art skills
- Strong coffee-making knowledge and familiarity with coffee equipment
- A customer-centric approach with the ability to work well within a team
- Attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and presentation
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends
- Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to contributing to the success of the cafe
