We are currently seeking an experienced Barista / All-Rounder to join our team at Sonny's in Murarrie. The are casual position offers approximately 20 - 30 hours hours per week. Sonny's is a fast paced cafe with a focus on specialty coffee and providing our loyal customers with excellent customer service. We have a great team and lovely regular customers!
Responsibilities:
- Preparing and serving specialty coffee to our high standards
- Operation of coffee equipment including grinder, espresso machine, and milk wand
- Taking customer orders and handling cash transactions
- Preparing and serving light meals and snacks (sandwich press)
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the café
- Providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience as a barista in a busy café or restaurant environment
- A passion for coffee and a strong knowledge of specialty coffee is preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
