Experienced Barista/Front of house/Cafe all rounder
We are seeking an enthusiastic and cafe all rounder to join our team at SUM Cafe and Thai eatery. As this position, you will be responsible for taking orders by using POS system, crafting and serving exceptional coffee and tea beverages and food while providing outstanding customer service. Your role will play a vital part in creating a welcoming and memorable experience for our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and interact with customers in a warm and welcoming manner
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, following our recipes and quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front counter and coffee station
- Prior experience in customer service or as a barista is a plus
- Menu and coffee knowledge (required)
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the coffee preparation area and equipment.
- Deliver food, coffee and beverages to the customers
- Keep the cafe area clean and tidy, including bussing tables and washing
What we are looking for:
- Person with a positive mindset and positive can do attitude
- At least 2 year experience in similar role highly preferred
- Barista experience or coffee-making skills required
- Excellent knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and espresso equipment.
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage with customers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Uphold a friendly and professional demeanours while interacting with customers.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines and maintain a clean and sanitary workspace.
- Knowledge of POS systems
Schedule:
- minimum 5 hours a day
- Morning shift
- Public holidays
- Weekday and weekend availability
