Job Description
AIM Therapy is growing! We are excited to announce the expansion of our range of services to include Positive Behaviour Support.
We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner with current suitability at the Proficient or Advanced level to provide positive behaviour support services.
On a daily basis you will be:
- Assisting NDIS participants, along with their families and/or carers, to identify their needs through assessment and person-centred planning.
- Evaluating, developing and delivering evidence-based support plans within a complex support space.
- Developing meaningful goals and practical strategies utilising a positive behaviour support framework, and with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices, in the home and community.
- Ensuring individual plans reflect our NDIS participants' goals, passions and strengths.
- Building the knowledge, capacity and strengths of those who support participants in their lives - family, carers, friends, etc.
- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including mentoring less experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners.

About you
- Current suitability at the Proficient or Advanced level as a Behaviour Support Practitioner is essential
- Considerable experience providing support to people with behaviours of concern (professionally and/or personally) is essential
- Flawless report writing skills
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills and interpersonal skills
- Valid drivers licence and access to a reliable motor vehicle
