Building Surveyor
Location: Stirling, Western Australia
Type: Permanent Full-Time
Salary: $96,731 – $101,823 p.a. + super (based on experience)

The Development Services team plays a vital role in shaping the built environment. As a Building Surveyor, you’ll be part of a collaborative and professional team that values integrity, service excellence, and community impact.
What You’ll Do
- Assess statutory building applications and routine planning proposals
- Provide pre-lodgement advice and respond to customer enquiries
- Conduct inspections and technical assessments
- Prepare reports, recommendations, and advice for internal and external stakeholders
- Represent the City in public meetings, appeals, and enquiries
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous improvement
About You
We’re looking for a qualified and experienced Building Surveyor who is passionate about safe and sustainable development. You’ll ideally bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Building or a related discipline
- Registration as a Building Surveyor Practitioner in WA (Level 1 or 2)
- Strong knowledge of statutory building control in a local government context
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Sound judgement and decision-making abilities
- Experience in building surveying and statutory assessment
- Local government experience (desirable)
