Role Detail
We are seeking an experienced Business Services Manager to lead the delivery of services across our Premises, Business Services and Hospitality at our Canberra Office. You will be responsible for ensuring exceptional experiences for our people, clients and visitors.
This pivotal role calls for strong leadership and operational oversight, championing innovation and continuous improvement to create a safe, secure and productive workplace. As the first point of contact for tenancy operations, you’ll manage services and suppliers with a focus on quality, reliability and efficiency.
You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to both local and national projects, helping to shape the workplace experience and deliver meaningful improvements.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading and coaching the Business Services and Hospitality teams to deliver high-quality services and foster a great place to work
- Overseeing services such as documentation management, mail/couriers, reception, premises and security, maintenance, catering and crisis management
- Managing tenancy operations including contracts, repairs and relocations
- Driving continuous improvement through research, supplier engagement and technology solutions
- Managing budgets, expenditure, rosters and compliance requirements
- Supporting and leading firm-wide projects, initiatives and service delivery innovations
About You
- Experience in a similar role within a top-tier professional services firm or similar environment
- Strong people leadership, coaching and team engagement skills
- Proven project and contract management expertise
- Financial management capability with a commercial mindset
- Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills
- Strong problem-solving, analytical and organisational abilities
- Commitment to service excellence and continuous improvement
- Accreditation in Firs Aid and/or Fire Warden Training, or willingness to complete (provided by the firm)
