Zambezi Meats operates 2 butcher stores in Engadine and Helensburg NSW.
We are currently seeking a Butcher Assistant to join our friendly and hardworking team in a dynamic food-focused environment! The successful applicant must be flexible enough to work at both locations, demonstrate outstanding organisational abilities and possess superior customer service skills.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering exceptional Customer Service
- Receive payments via EFTPOS and cash
- Merchandising and display of meat products
- Cleaning duties
- Assist with food preparation – Handling Raw Meat
- Traying and wrapping a variety of gourmet meat products
- Any other duties consistent with role
To be successful in this position, you must meet the following criteria:
- Previous experience within the hospitality or food retail sector ideal
- Must possess some knife skills and have high attention to detail
- Have strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Be passionate about food and cooking
- Be customer focused and always striving to deliver the best customer service.
- Be self-starter, reliable, team focused and able to work under pressure
- Have a high standard of personal presentation and cleanliness
- Be able to make the most of every sales opportunity
- Have full Australian work rights
