Job Description:
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the butcher shop, ensuring the highest standards of meat processing and display, compliance with safety regulations, and excellent customer service. Lead and motivate a team while driving sales and operational efficiency.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality meat cutting, preparation, and display techniques to meet customer and business standards.
- Manage and train staff, including scheduling, performance management, and providing guidance on procedures.
- Monitor and maintain inventory, ordering supplies as needed to meet demand while minimizing waste.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and head office
- Manage and resolve any operational or customer service issues that arise.
- Implement effective stock rotation to maintain quality and freshness.
- Maintain and arrange for the repair of equipment as necessary.
- Liaise with the management team on operational updates, customer feedback, and business improvements.
- Oversee accurate record-keeping for inventory, orders, and operational processes.
- Contribute to the development of promotional activities to boost sales and brand visibility.
Requirements:
- Education: Certificate III in Meat Processing or equivalent qualification.
- Experience: At least 2 years of proven experience as an experienced butcher in retail or processing environment.
- Leadership and Communication Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead a team, provides training, and communicates effectively with staff and management.
- Operational Knowledge: Strong understanding of meat processing techniques, meat display, and stock management.
- Attention to Detail: Commitment to maintaining quality, compliance, and operational standards.
- Customer Service Skills: Proven ability to build positive relationships with customers and address their needs effectively.
- Legal Entitlement: Must have the legal right to work in Australia.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary Range: AUD 75,000 - 80,000 per year
Schedule: Day, evening, and weekend shifts as required.
