What will you do?
- Assist with the implementation of Environmental Health programs including food business inspections and inspection of premises carrying out skin penetration procedures
- Assist in the investigation and response to complaints about environmental issues including, water, noise and air pollution.
- Participate in fieldwork and office tasks like sampling, monitoring, and reporting.
- Support community education on health and environmental standards.
- Be exposed to Environmental Health matters on a regional level with involvement in the regional food group and regional Environmental Health Australia group (participating Council are Port Macquarie Hastings, Kempsey, Nambucca Valley, Bellingen and Coffs Harbour City).
- Be involved in the regulation of on-site sewerage management systems (OSMS) being involved with inspections, the issuing of approvals and compliance action.
- Assist with the inspection of Swimming Pool barriers for compliance.
What do you need?
- Enrolment in the final year of a relevant degree (e.g. Environmental Health, Science, Public Health).
- Interest in environmental and public health, and a willingness to learn.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to balance work and study commitments.

Weekly wage will commence from $803.30.
