ALL ROUNDER: Tasks & responsibilities
- Follow opening & closing routines for the venue daily and take direction from the Area Manager.
- Keeping accurate and timely records
- Serving food and drinks
- Working quickly and accurately to maximise sales
- Keeping the eating and serving areas clean and tidy
- Adhering to the occupational health and safety the requirements.
- Handling customer enquiries, comments, and complaints
- Keep storerooms and cool rooms tidy and organised
- Operating cash registers, accepting payments and preparing sales invoices
- Participating in stock takes and assisting in putting away new stock
- Ensure customers enjoy an excellent dining experience
- Providing backup to other café employees
Qualifications & experience
- Previous experience in a busy hospitality/cafe environment.
- Excellent customer service experience.
- Holds a clear understanding of both written & spoken English.
- Availability for weekend, school holidays, and public holidays.
- And someone who is confident in putting their own stamp on our café
BARISTA: Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages (coffee, tea, smoothies, etc.)
- Operate espresso machines and grinders with confidence
- Maintain a clean and hygienic workstation
- Deliver excellent customer service with a positive attitude
- Restock supplies and assist in daily opening/closing duties
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth café operations
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a barista (minimum 6 months preferred)
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A passion for coffee and attention to detail
- Availability on weekends and public holidays (preferred)
Bonus if you have:
- Experience working with children or in a family-friendly environment
- Interest in learning food preparation or all-around duties
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $21.11 – $36.32 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
