We are seeking an experienced Cafe Supervisor with a genuine passion for food and people to become a key part of our supportive team.
We are seeking a reliable and organized professional who can channel our fun atmosphere into operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can guide our team while ensuring every customer leaves happy. This role is primarily focused on managing our closing shifts from Wednesday to Sunday.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Evening Service: Drive the energy of our night shifts, motivating the team and setting the standard for exceptional food and friendly customer service.
- Manage Closing Operations: Take full ownership of all closing procedures, including accurate cash reconciliation, end-of-day reporting, and securing the premises. Following all systems
- Be a Hands-On All-Rounder: This is a role where you lead from the front. You'll be expertly preparing everything on our menu, including barista-made coffee, sandwiches ("sangas"), and our signature desserts, as well as assisting with daily prep work.
- Be the Problem-Solver: Act as the senior staff member on-site, professionally resolving any customer issues with a positive and efficient approach.
- Mentor the Team: Train and support team members by demonstrating best practices, jumping on the tools to help wherever needed.
What We're Looking For:
- A natural and energetic leader with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospitality supervisor or team leader role.
- Mandatory availability to work closing shifts from Wednesday to Sunday – this is essential for the role.
- Proven experience as a skilled all-rounder, comfortable and proficient with coffee machines, food prep, and service.
- A positive attitude combined with a calm, professional demeanour under pressure.
- A genuine passion for food and creating memorable customer experiences.
