Your Opportunity
Join a vital new Program – make a real impact! The Universal Aftercare Service is a non-clinical support service focused on providing rapid, practical psychosocial support to people experiencing a suicidal crisis or who have attempted suicide.
Positions are available in Nowra, Goulburn or Bega.
We're looking for passionate and driven people to join this valuable new service designed to reach and support communities who may not typically engage with the health system. This program will deliver intensive, specialised support across the Shoalhaven and Goulburn regions, with a strong focus on engaging men, including Aboriginal men, through culturally safe and responsive services
We are keen to talk with people who have an interest in the below positions:
- Peer Worker – work alongside a dedicated, multidisciplinary team to support people experiencing suicidal crisis and/or distress. Drawing on your own recovery journey, you will offer understanding, empathy, and practical strategies to help clients overcome barriers to accessing support, connect with community resources, and build independence in daily life.
- Care Coordinator – work within a recovery framework in collaboration with other relevant services to support people to build independence in their daily life and contribute to their recovery, community integration, and wellbeing.

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
