About The Role
The Salvation Army Australia is seeking a dedicated Case Manager to join our committed team at Flagstaff and The Open Door – two vital residential facilities providing safe, short-term accommodation and holistic support to men facing homelessness.

As a Case Manager, you'll provide tailored, practical, and emotional support for men navigating homelessness. You’ll empower them to set and achieve goals, access long-term housing, and rebuild their lives – one step at a time.
About the Services
  • Flagstaff supports up to 64 single men
  • The Open Door accommodates 37 single men
  • Both facilities offer short-term transitional housing and comprehensive case management
  • Our services are grounded in person-centred, strengths-based and trauma-informed practice
  • We work as a collaborative, trans disciplinary team alongside external partners to achieve sustainable housing outcomes
Reporting to the Team Leader, this is a permanent full-time position, based in North Melbourne and Flagstaff, VIC.

Compensation is in accordance with SCHADS Award Level 5.

About You
You're an emotionally intelligent professional who believes in the potential for change and understands the complexities of homelessness, prioritising dignity, safety, and support for every individual.
You Will Successfully
  • Build strong, respectful relationships and develop personalised case plans that support independence and resilience
  • Deliver outreach-based support and facilitate warm transitions into long-term housing
  • Advocate on behalf of clients to access health, housing, legal, education, and well-being services
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies to ensure coordinated, inclusive care
  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to service quality, innovation, and development
You Will Have
  • A degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
  • Experience in case management and supporting people experiencing homelessness
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed, strengths-based, and person-centred approaches
  • Excellent interpersonal, advocacy, and conflict resolution skills
  • Experience working collaboratively with community agencies and housing providers
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence
  • An Employee Working with Children's Check
