WA Cricket is looking for a number of handy, hands on, energetic persons to assist on a casual basis. With the cricket season approaching, we have numerous matches, functions, and events that require setup and maintenance support.
This role is an all rounder position, offering varied tasks to keep your days dynamic.
How you’ll make an impact
- Assist with ground setup and maintenance for match days and major events at both the WACA Ground and Optus Stadium.
- Support the installation of infrastructure for large-scale events, functions, and match days.
- Help install and maintain venue signage, sightscreens, scrims, scoreboards, and name plates.
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries, furniture, as needed.
- Prepare rooms and spaces for functions and events.
- Provide support for maintenance needs during large scale events and match days.
- Ensure all tasks are completed in line with work health and safety standards.
A great fit for this role looks like
- Ability to perform manual tasks including lifting, carrying, and setting up equipment and infrastructure.
- Basic maintenance and handyman skills for facility upkeep and event support.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and ensure venues are prepared to a high standard.
- Ability to follow schedules and instructions accurately.
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast paced environment.
- Willingness to follow safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment.
- Accountable, disciplined and motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
