The Great Southern Hotel Sydney (GSH-Sydney CBD) is a Self-rated 4 Star hotel located in the heart of Sydney CBD. We are currently seeking an experienced Handyperson on a casual basis to join our team. You must take pride in your work and be willing to go that "extra mile" to make our guest's stay an enjoyable one. This is a physically demanding role that requires an energetic and enthusiastic person who is ready and willing to work as part of a team.
About the role:
As our Handyperson, your responsibilities will include:
- General maintenance activities for the upkeep of the Hotel to high standards
- General plumbing, carpentry, grouting, painting and much more
About you:
The successful candidate must:
- Have a keen eye for detail
- Be self-motivated and be able to work unsupervised
- Be flexible and available for a weekly rotating roster, 16 - 24 hours a week.
- Have knowledge and understanding of a similar general maintenance position (i.e., knowledge of plumbing, painting, and general maintenance)
- Be committed to providing extraordinary service
- Have good communication and interpersonal skills
- Be reliable and articulate in the job
