About the role
We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced Change Management Specialist to lead the successful execution of change initiatives across our organisation. In this role, you’ll collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to assess the impact of change, develop and implement change management strategies, and ensure smooth transitions through effective communication and engagement. You’ll also coach leaders and employees to support the adoption of new processes and technologies, playing a key role in aligning change efforts with strategic objectives. Additionally, you’ll contribute to the creation of high-quality content that supports delivery excellence and reinforces change messaging across all channels.
This role can be based anywhere within Essential Energy’s operational footprint and will be a 12 month fixed term contract.

Your strong interpersonal and leadership skills enable you to build trust and foster collaboration, while your creativity and problem-solving abilities help you develop innovative solutions to overcome resistance and ensure successful outcomes.
About your skills
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership capabilities
- Proficiency in change management methodologies such as Prosci or ADKAR
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work autonomously, think strategically, and maintain strong working relationships under pressure
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Change Management, or demonstrated capability through relevant experience and/or qualificationsDesired experience
- Change Management Certification
- Proven experience leading change programs in large, complex organisations—preferably within utilities or similar industries
- Deep understanding of change management frameworks, tools, and measures
- Familiarity with project and program management disciplines, with the ability to integrate change activities into broader project plans Experience working in Agile change environments is highly desirable
