About the role
As a Child Wellbeing Unit Assessment Officer, you will be joining a team of Child Protection and Wellbeing experts who conduct Child Protection and Wellbeing risk appraisals as well as assist and advise NSW Health workers to respond to vulnerable children, young people and families they encounter during their work. The Child Wellbeing Unit aims to support families early to prevent escalation into the statutory system.

The Western Child Wellbeing Unit is a telephone service and receives telephone calls and e-reports from health workers in the geographical area of the local health districts of Western Sydney, South Western Sydney, Nepean Blue Mountains, Western NSW and Far West, as well as staff from the Children’s Hospital Westmead.
