Description:
We are seeking a dynamic Civil Engineering Technician to work closely alongside drafters, designers and engineers to coordinate and manage our expanding portfolio of civil projects. This role presents a rare opportunity to contribute to our legacy of excellence, leveraging your expertise to drive innovation and deliver high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assemble documentation packages and produce drawing sets which are then checked by Manager and Senior Engineer (project engineer/project captain).
· Prepare sketches and tabulations, and assist in estimating costs in support of Civil Engineering Professionals.
· Review planning layouts and assist in providing innovative alternative drafting solutions.
· Assist with other civil drafting projects as required by the current project workload.
· Coordinate and liaise with the designers and engineers.
· Quality Assurance requirements and drafting practices.
· Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
· Implement quality and drafting management processes throughout projects.
· Commitment to delivery of projects documentation on time is essential.
Qualification:
· Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
· 2 years’ experience in civil related engineering and drafting experience
Skills:
· Proven experience as a Civil Engineering technician or a similar role
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
· Understanding of engineering design drawings – including appropriate detail required for various phases of project development
· Ability to communicate directly with technical and non-technical staff
· Ability to take directions and work across civil department
· Comfortable working in a team environment and capable working with engineers,
designer and drafting staff
· Knowledge of relevant Australian engineering codes, standards and regulations.

Salary :
$87,500 + superannuation
