About the Role
As a Cleaner, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across the site by delivering a high standard of cleaning support. Your responsibilities will contribute to the efficient and effective daily operations, ensuring all tasks are carried out to a high standard as outlined by your supervisor and in line with the approved school cleaning program.
We currently have two permanent positions available:
One full-time permanent role
One part-time permanent role, working 56 hours per fortnight (0.74 FTE)
These positions operate on a split shift schedule from Monday to Friday, with working hours from 5:00 AM to 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. During the first week of school holidays, cleaning shifts will transition to straight shifts, offering a consistent and structured work pattern.
Your Responsibilities
As the Cleaner, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Clean classrooms, corridors, toilets, staff rooms, offices, and communal areas
Dust and polish surfaces, furniture, and fixtures
Vacuum carpets and mop hard floors
Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately
Refill soap, hand sanitizers, toilet paper, and other hygiene supplies
Deep clean specific areas during school holiday cleans or as needed
Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors
Follow health and safety procedures at all times
Report any repairs or hazards to the Site Manager
Secure the premises after cleaning e.g. locking doors, windows, checking lights and air conditioners are turned off and turning on alarms
Previous cleaning experience preferred but not required
Knowledge of cleaning products and safe handling of chemicals
Ability to follow instructions and work independently
Good time management and reliability
Physical ability to carry out the job e.g. lifting, bending, standing for long periods
Awareness of safeguarding and child protection procedures (training may be provided
