Due to significant growth, and the need to service our valued clients across the region, we are looking for a Command Centre Technician, to be based out of our South Melbourne office and servicing the greater Melbourne region.
This full time role requires working from our head office 5 days per week, 7.30am to 3.30pm and with expectations to work 1-2 days additional per month on-call onsite over the weekends once established in the role.
The role
As a Command Centre Technician, you’ll play a critical role in supporting our remote road safety camera network from our South Melbourne Command Centre. You’ll monitor secure networked systems, diagnose technical issues, analyse images and coding whilst acting as a primary support coordinating with field technicians to ensure our road safety technology (camera network) runs at peak performance. You’ll help the Victorian Operations team deliver a consistently high standard of service to our government clients.
What You’ll Do
- Provide remote support & troubleshooting guidance for our talented field technicians.
- Remotely monitor systems, proactively resolving incidents affecting operations.
- Manage service requests and incidents using Verra Mobility’s help systems.
- Coordinate and support field teams with planned and remedial maintenance.
- Conduct remote site health checks and verify image quality compliance.
- Deliver professional client communication, including daily updates.
- Participate in the on-call roster for after-hours support.
Who You Are
You are a motivated professional with proven experience of diagnosing and resolving technical issues in fast-paced, high compliance environments. You bring strong knowledge of IT networks, Microsoft Office applications, and service management systems, with ITIL certification and exposure to SQL or Python seen as an advantage. You’re confident interpreting technical datasheets, following procedures, and ensuring compliance with KPIs and SLAs.
Organised, adaptable, and customer-focused, you communicate clearly, work well with others, and take a safety-first, solutions-driven approach.
