Commercial Maintenance Technician
About the RoleThis hands-on role is ideal for a licensed plumber with an interest in or experience working with aquatic filtration, dosing, hydraulic systems, and commercial plant installation. You'll be responsible for the scheduled maintenance, breakdown repairs, new equipment installations, fault diagnosis, and reporting across various aquatic environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Routine and preventative maintenance of pumps, filters, dosing systems, and control equipment.
- Fault-finding and reactive servicing to minimise downtime and maximise water quality compliance.
- Installation and commissioning of new plantroom equipment including dosing systems, filters, pumps, UV, and controllers and commercial aquatic equipment.
- Reading and interpreting O&M manuals, hydraulic schematics, and technical documents.
- Preparation of job reports and communication with facility managers and on-site stakeholders.
- Ensuring compliance with WHS, chemical handling, confined space, and aquatic facility standards.
Skills and ExperienceRequired:
- Trade qualification in Plumbing with current licence.
- Experience in or willingness to learn aquatic plant operations and installations.
- Strong understanding of water circulation, filtration, and chemical dosing principles.
- Manual driver’s licence.
- Strong communication, fault-finding, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and deliver professional outcomes on site.
Desirable but not required:
- Experience with plant and equipment installation in aquatic or mechanical environments.
- White Card, Confined Space Entry, Working at Heights, CPR certification.
- Previous experience in public or commercial aquatic facilities.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45.00 – $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 per week
