About the role:
This role is responsible for delivering Tyro’s compliance monitoring program, ensuring timely reviews of marketing materials for regulatory accuracy, and providing expert advice on compliance matters. It manages complaints within regulated timeframes, oversees operations across financial crime, privacy, and credential management, and contributes to the development and improvement of compliance policies and procedures. The role also maintains accurate records, manages databases, updates documentation and supports process mapping and continuous improvement initiatives

What you'll do:
- Deliver the compliance monitoring program in line with agreed schedules.
- Review and approve marketing materials for accuracy, grammar, and regulatory compliance within set SLAs.
- Provide guidance and advice on compliance matters.
- Manage complaints referred to the external dispute resolution body within regulatory timeframes.
- Contribute to the development and ongoing improvement of compliance manuals, policies, and procedures.
- Oversee compliance operations across financial crime, privacy, and credential management.
- Maintain accurate records, manage data entry and databases, and ensure procedures in Confluence are up to date.
- Support process mapping and continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in risk, compliance, and/or audit within technology, finance, or payments industries.
- Tertiary qualification in business, finance, law, or a related discipline.
- Background in compliance, financial services, customer service, audit, or law.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and communicate difficult messages appropriately.
- Excellent reporting, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills with a data-driven approach.
- Exceptional writing, interpretation, and communication abilities.
- Collaborative team player who works well autonomously and adapts to change.
