Council is seeking applications from enthusiastic motivated individuals for the following position:
COMPLIANCE OFFICER (ON-CALL) (Casual)
The Compliance Officer (On-Call) will be responsible (on a rotational basis), for providing basic animal control services to the Griffith community after and before normal working hours weekdays and on weekends. Duties will include:
- Monitoring after-hours phone calls and enquiries
- Attending to straying stock
- Attending to dog attacks
A mobile phone and compliance vehicle will be provided for on-call duties.
Appropriate training will be arranged and provided to the successful applicant before commencement of duties.
Skills & Knowledge: The successful applicant will require an Australian driver licence, basic computer knowledge and effective communication skills
Hours of work: On-call duties will be available for: Thursday-Thursday from 5:00pm to 8:000am weekdays and public holidays.
Salary and conditions: A standard weekly on call rate plus additional hourly rate when a call-out occurs. Commencement hourly rate: $40.9391 (inclusive of casual loading). Penalty rates apply for any weekend work (Grade 7).
