Role Details
The Department of the Premier and Cabinet (DPC) is looking for an experienced communicator to help share messaging to support initiatives from across the South Australian Government. In this role, you will build strong working relationships with government colleagues to source content that delivers on key partnerships and priorities. You will work closely with an external media outlet to share these stories and amplify important government messages in a timely manner via The Post platform. The role is exciting and rewarding – sharing information from across the public sector about what makes South Australia a great state to work and live.Special Conditions
- The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.
- The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
- This role requires a National Criminal History check.
Essential Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Journalism, Communications, or related field, and/or a minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role.

About the Business
The Strategic Communications team supports the department to effectively communicate with its stakeholders both internal and external to government. The team is responsible for the department's intranet, extranet and website publishing and coordinates whole of government email communications, the department’s media activities, and designs engaging visual content to support the communications activities. Strategic Communications also works across government to create a pipeline of content that reflects activity across the South Australian public sector and manages the SA Government social media channels and We Are.SA communications portal.Diversity and Inclusion
