We have a fantastic opportunity for an experience Coordinator - Learning & Development to join our People & Culture team in Melbourne office.
The Learning & Development (L&D) Coordinator plays a pivotal role in fostering a culture of continuous learning, growth, and wellbeing across the firm. Working in close collaboration with People & Culture and other key stakeholders, this role supports the delivery of strategic learning initiatives that enhance capability, engagement, and professional excellence.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Champion a learning culture across the firm and implementing the Learning & Development (L&D) strategy to support ongoing professional and personal development.
- Work closely with the Manager of Organisational Development and People & Culture team to execute firm-wide L&D initiatives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand the business needs and identify individual and group training requirements.
- Conduct training needs analysis to identify development opportunities and assist in enhancing the current L&D programs and initiatives.
- Deliver data-driven reporting and insights to measure the effectiveness of L&D programs and track capability growth.
- Design and implement structured learning programs for legal and support staff, aligned with firm-wide strategic goals and continuing professional development (CPD) requirements.
- Serve as an active member of the CPD Committee, responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering high-quality CPD training initiatives for legal professionals.
- Support the coordination and delivery of the firm’s Leadership and Lawyers’ Development Programs.
- Manage end to end logistics for training delivery, including scheduling, venue and catering coordination and facilitation engagement.
- Maintain learning systems and records, including the Learning Management System (LMS) and firm-wide learning calendar.
- Monitor training participation and ensure compliance with CPD, Equal opportunity and Cybersecurity standards.
- Promote Health & Wellbeing Initiatives by coordinating programs that support employee social wellbeing, physical health, financial wellbeing and resilience.
- Assist the Manager of Organisational Development and People & Culture Director with preparation and oversight of the L&D budget and expenditure.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and providers, ensuring high quality service delivery to deliver and outcomes.
- Support the planning, logistics, and evaluation of L&D projects to ensure efficient execution.
- Handle day to day administrative tasks related to L&D and wellbeing.
- Maintains cyber security at all times. Cultivate an awareness of security risks, stay informed of latest cyber threats, instil best cybersecurity practises and take practical steps to protect the firm and client from cyberattacks.
Skills/Knowledge
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management or a related discipline and Certificate IV in Training and Development.
- Familiarity with contemporary learning methodologies, program delivery techniques, and instructional design principles.
- Accreditation in an organisational tool such as the Life Styles Inventory or similar would be an advantage.
- Practical understanding of learning strategies and ability to support operational execution of L&D initiatives.
- Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Excellent stakeholder management with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the firm.
- Excellent planning and time management with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to deadline.
Experience
- 2+ years’ experience in L&D or a related field, ideally within a corporate or professional services environment.
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating leadership development initiatives, including senior stakeholder engagement and program logistics.
- Prior exposure to the legal industry or other professional services sectors is desirable.
