About the role

The Creative Producer – Young People designs, delivers and evaluates a vibrant creative program that engages young people as emerging artists, leaders, collaborators, participants and audiences. The program aims to reach diverse communities, build public profile, and foster meaningful cultural engagement.

This role supports SIGNAL’s mission to connect young people with the arts and nurture emerging artists across multiple program streams including studio workshops, youth-led initiatives, mentoring and partnerships.

The Creative Producer works closely with the Program Manager – Children, Families and Young People to shape program frameworks and curatorial models that are youth-centred and aligned with strategic directions across the organisation. Program delivery is highly collaborative, with this role working in liaison with the Front of House Coordinator, Operations Coordinator and Venue Manager.

What your experience might look like

  • Extensive experience working in the contemporary arts sector at a senior level, preferably in multi-artform contexts in arts programming, arts management or similar targeted at young people and young and emerging artists
  • Successfully curated and produced innovative programs with and for young people
  • Deep understanding of contemporary arts practice and youth engagement
  • Skilled in planning, resourcing, contracting, and evaluating multiple concurrent projects
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality outcomes within budget
  • Experience in marketing and communications, including strong verbal and written capabilities and demonstrated ability to produce high-standard promotional content and reports for senior leadership
