About the opportunity
We are looking for experienced RPN Grade 3's or equivalent to join Mercy Mental Health Casual Bank to cover planed leave and short notice vacancies within the CATT and EMH teams.
- The role of the CATT Clinician is to provide intensive clinical assessment, treatment and support services to known clients who are in acute psychiatric crisis or at risk of relapse.
- The EMH Clinician provides intensive clinical assessment, treatment and support services to clients who are in acute psychiatric crisis who present to Werribee Mercy Hospital ED, PACER or the MMH Triage service.
- In both roles you will form part of a multidisciplinary team & will be required to provide highly responsive & flexible service to consumers & carers.
Qualification/ registration requirements
- Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse with successful completion of a specialist undergraduate psychiatric nursing program or a Post Graduate Psychiatric/mental health nursing qualification or
- An approved degree in Psychology and registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist or
- Registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist or
- A recognised degree in Social Work and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.

- Demonstrated competency in mental state & risk assessment and the ability to priorities workload.
- Works as a member of the multi-disciplinary team.
- 12 months experience in an acute role
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and function optimally within a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to document and search appropriate data bases.
- Drivers license
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or willing to obtain:
- A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
- Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
